About Honest Hosting Reviews
Honest Hosting Reviews exists for one reason: most hosting "reviews" on the internet are thinly disguised sales pages. Rankings that mysteriously match commission rates. "In-depth tests" with no methodology. Pros-and-cons lists where the cons section says things like "slightly premium pricing."
We do it differently.
How we research
- Official documentation first. Plan details, prices, limits, guarantees, and terms come from the provider's own published pages — checked at the time of writing and re-checked before major updates.
- Reputable third-party sources second. For performance claims, we rely on independent benchmarks and long-running review publications — and we attribute them instead of presenting their findings as our own tests.
- No invented experiences. We don't fabricate test results, publish fake testimonials, or claim hands-on testing we haven't done. When something is our analysis or opinion, it's written as such.
What we promise
- Real cons in every review. If a host has meaningful downsides, they're listed prominently — not buried.
- "Who should skip it" sections. A review that recommends a product to everyone is an ad. We tell you when not to buy, even when it costs us a commission.
- Current pricing. Every article carries a last-updated date, and prices are verified against official plan pages. Hosting prices change — we say so, and we tell you to verify before buying.
- Clear affiliate disclosure. This site earns commissions through affiliate links. Every article with affiliate links says so near the top. Read the full disclosure.
What we cover
Managed WordPress hosting — the category where the price gap between "fine" and "excellent" is hundreds of dollars a year and the wrong choice costs real money in downtime and slow checkouts. Our flagship coverage includes our in-depth Kinsta review, a Kinsta vs WP Engine comparison, and a step-by-step migration guide.
